With so many resources available, its easy to feel overwhelmed.
Here’s our advice:
• Start with one or two resources. Don’t try to consume everything at once.
• Prioritize autistic voices. Resources by autistic people are more validating and accurate to lived experience.
• Be wary of doom-scrolling. After a video, note what resonated and what didn’t. This keeps you grounded.
• Trust your own experience. Not everything will resonate. Autism is incredibly diverse.
• Take breaks. Learning about yourself can be intense. Step away and process.
Remember: this is a journey, not a destination.
These resources will be here when you’re ready.
